Claudette Edith Corrado

Posted

Claudette E. Corrado passed away peacefully on the morning of June 16, 2022 with family by her side.
Born to James Chlad & Edna (Bertolino) in Cleveland, Ohio on February 1, 1938. After completion of 8th grade, her parents had divorced and Claudette dropped out of school to care for the family home. Just a few days shy after her 17th birthday she married the love of her life, Salvatore Corrado. Together they welcomed three children into this world; Barbara, Anthony (who passed soon after birth), & Diana.
Although Cleveland was home, Claudette and her family also planted roots in California, Montana, and finally Arizona. Claudette and Sal were married just one month short of celebrating their 64th anniversary before his passing in 2019.
Throughout her life she worked as a homemaker, a school bus driver, managed the family construction business, and gave countless hours to her church and community.
Claudette wanted to be an example for her grandchildren and returned to school, where she successfully completed her GED after the age of 60.
She was very much involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her influence will live on.
Claudette is preceded in passing by her Son Anthony, Sister-in-law Conceita Salva, Husband Salvatore, and Brother James Chlad.
She is survived by Brother Ron (Jane) Chlad of Texas, Daughters Barbara (Ray) Rashleigh of South Dakota, and Diana Drake of Arizona, 7 Grandchildren, and 15 Great Grandchildren. Forever in our hearts.
