The city of Scottsdale will celebrate city founder Winfield Scott’s 186th birthday at noon on Friday, Feb. 24 in front of the Little Red School House, 7333 E. Scottsdale Mall.
Mayor David Ortega, community historian Joan Fudala and citizen advisor Bruce Wall will share stories.
After two years away, the city is returning to the area in front of the Little Red Schoolhouse at the newly renovated Scottsdale Civic Center. After the program, take a self-guided tour of seven spots of historical significance to Winfield and Helen Scott.
Past events, including the virtual Founders Day 2021 and the in-person Founders Day 2022, which was hosted on the back patio of the Community Design Studio are available to view on line.
Everyone is welcome to join in celebration of the 186th birthday of Scottsdale’s founder, Winfield Scott - right in the heart of his namesake city.
