City of Peoria brings back Pop-Up Peoria

Pop-Up Peoria and Amor Collective are uniting for a grand reopening celebration.

The city of Peoria is hosting the grand reopening of Pop-Up Peoria, 11 a.m., Aug. 5.

The celebration will take place at the brand-new location in Park West Mall, suite 1108, at 8744 W. Northern Ave.

The event is open to the public and free of charge, inviting everyone to join in the festivities until 7 p.m.

Pop Up Peoria is a collaboration between the city, local entrepreneurs and Arizona State University's J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute. This innovative mixed-use space combines retail, events and community classes with a singular goal — to support and nurture local entrepreneurship.

This relaunch of Pop-Up Peoria comes in partnership with Amor Collective, a business incubator and retail space exclusively designed for Latina entrepreneurs. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in empowering Latina entrepreneurs by providing them with a state-of-the-art space to thrive and succeed. The Pop-Up Peoria storefront will now feature 20 thriving Latina-owned businesses, each embodying the essence of empowerment, resilience, and innovation.

The Amor Collective sets itself apart by transforming conventional business norms through personalized mentorship, coaching, and offering essential resources for business growth. Empowering participants with a retail space to sell, promote, and test market response, Amor Collective facilitates the refinement of business structures and the enhancement of leadership skills.

As part of the revamped Pop-Up Peoria space, a community area will be located at the back, fostering collaboration and community engagement. In collaboration with Arizona State University's J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute, the space will host entrepreneurship classes, business pitching practices and coworking opportunities.

In addition, the city of Peoria will contribute to the community space by offering a range of free classes and events, reinforcing its commitment to support the local community.

At the grand opening, visitors will have the chance to explore a curated selection of local products, engage with passionate Latina entrepreneurs, and learn from experienced mentors.
