A California health care system is expanding further into the Valley with the purchase of a Phoenix-based provider.
City of Hope, a world-renowned cancer center based in Los Angeles, announced Wednesday it had acquired Cancer Treatment Centers of America for $390 million. In addition to its hospital in Goodyear at 14200 W. Celebrate Life Way and several community health clinics across Phoenix, CTCA also has a presence in Atlanta and Chicago, expanding City of Hope’s reach to four of the largest metropolitan areas in the country.
City of Hope had previously purchased Phoenix-based Translational Genomics Research Institute in 2016, making this its second large acquisition in the Valley.
