The Goodyear City Prosecutor’s Office has filed a criminal complaint in the Goodyear Municipal Court against Pedro Quintana-Lujan for his role in the tragic cyclist crash on the Cotton Lane Bridge on the morning of Feburary 25, 2023 that killed two people and injured 17 others.
The complaint alleges Quintana-Lujan committed 11 violations. The charges were filed after a thorough review of the evidence provided by the Goodyear Police Department. The review and decision comes afterthe Maricopa County Attorney’s Office decided in November not to pursue felony charges in the matter.
The charges are two counts of a causing death by a moving violation and nine counts of causing serious physical injury by a moving violation.
