Chandler launches on-demand transportation service

Chandler Flex to begin service July 12

The city of Chandler will launch Chandler Flex, an on-demand shared transportation service, on July 12, according to a news release from the city.

A minivan will pick a resident up and transport them to where they want to go in a limited service area within Chandler. It is a shared ride service, so other passengers may be picked up and dropped off along the way.

To book a ride, residents can use the mobile app or call 602-932-0291. Once a ride is entered, the system will provide ride options. Riders are then directed to a nearby “virtual bus stop” within a short walking distance, and a driver is dispatched to meet at that location, according to the city.
