City looking into tougher rules for political signs

The Scottsdale City Council is looking on possibly cracking down on political signs.

The council voted 7-0 during its Aug. 24 meeting to have city staff look into rules related to posting political signs as well as enforcement.

“We did not have council (candidates) put multiple signs right after each other but there are several candidates for several other offices who did that,” said Dan Ishac, a member of the public who supported Whitehead’s request. “We do not need to see five of the exact same sign in a row on Shea every tenth of a mile.”
