Tempe voters will have the chance this coming March to approve or deny the city’s next general plan, which establishes updated guiding principles for how new developments are constructed among other land use decisions over the next 30 years.
After a three-hour meeting on Aug. 24 that welcomed a number of Tempe residents like in previous gatherings regarding the document, Tempe City Council approved Tempe Tomorrow: General Plan 2050 for it to be put on the March 12 ballot.
Voters should be registered with the Maricopa County Elections office by Feb. 12 in order to participate.
