Surprise clarifying social media rules for council

Vote expected to update policy handbook

The Surprise City Council is trying to use social media a little more responsibly than some politicians.

And it’s good timing as it comes right in an era when even the president can have his or her social media sites shut down.

To get ahead of any problems, the city council is expected to approve changes to its policy manual at its next meeting Jan. 19.
