A Cinco de Mayo festival will bring live performances, cultural programming and family activities to Old Town Avondale in early May.
Entertainment is scheduled throughout the evening, including performances by Ballet Folklorico Esperanza, Gente Del Rancho, Mariachi Rubor and Banda Legamaz. Additional attractions are expected to include games, a salsa competition, a car showcase and other activities for families.
The free event is set for 6-10 p.m. Saturday, May 2 along Historic Western Avenue. Organizers say the festival will highlight Mexican culture through music, dance, food and interactive experiences.
