Peoria church plans to expand footprint

Commercial, office space is planned for 85th and Olive avenues

Lighthouse Apostolic Ministries is planning to expand its footprint by developing the vacant property adjacent to its church near 83rd and Olive avenues.

The Peoria Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended to city council a proposal to rezone about 1.6 acres of land at 8645 W. Olive Avenue from single-family residential to office commercial to allow for unspecified nonresident uses.

The city council approved the proposal Nov. 15.
