Make plans to attend a holly, jolly and merry snow-filled day at the 17th Annual Christmas in July in Historic Downtown Glendale.
The fun goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8. Start your holiday journey at the Arizona Information Center, 5836 W. Palmaire Ave., to pick up the event map and activity sheet.

Make plans to attend a holly, jolly and merry snow-filled day at the 17th Annual Christmas in July in Historic Downtown Glendale.
The fun goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8. Start your holiday journey at the Arizona Information Center, 5836 W. Palmaire Ave., to pick up the event map and activity sheet.
“Many of the renowned boutique stores, specialty shops and iconic eateries will feature festive treats, holiday gift ideas and merry make-and take-crafts, Lorraine Zomok, Historic Downtown Glendale Merchants Association president, shared in a press release.
Additional activities include the return of the Recipe Card Collection. This year’s collection features Main Dish recipes. Downtown business owners are sharing their family-favorite dishes. Pick up the beginning pieces to your recipe collection at the Arizona Information Center. Pick up free recipe cards at participating businesses.
You can also enjoy photos with Santa Claus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (photos are $5 each.) Santa will be located at Glendale Flowers and Gifts, 7163 N. 58th Drive.
The Historic Downtown Glendale Charm Trail returns with holiday themed charms available at numerous businesses during the event. Start a bracelet or add to your existing downtown bracelet.
A shuttle will be available to transport event attendees throughout the area free-of-charge. The shuttle will have multiple stops in Catlin Court, Old Towne, and a stop every 30 minutes at Cerreta Candy Company.
New this year, experience snowfall in the desert. A snow play area will be set up near the Arizona Information Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Glendale Elementary School District staff will be on site to share details about district schools and learning programs.
“GESD is excited to host a snowfall experience to create holiday magic for our community in partnership with the Historic Downtown Glendale Merchants Association,” GESD Superintendent Cindy Segotta-Jones stated. “Our district is extremely proud to be located in the heart of Glendale’s local business community where we are fostering a sense of belonging, unity and support for all kids, families and community members.”
The holiday spirit continues with a Back-to-School Supply drive to benefit the Glendale Elementary School District.
Needed supplies include rulers, crayons, glue sticks, #2 pencils, notebook paper and pencil sharpeners.
