Surprise will soon be home to a second private Christian school, and the new campus is starting as small as possible.
The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a conditional use permit on June 17 for Surprise Christian Academy south of Bell Road in the West Point development, which is just west of the intersection of Bell and Grand Avenue.
Surprise Christian Academy will be attached to Valley Life Church on a parcel directly south of the Target store at West Point Towne Center. Classes will begin for Kindergarten and first grade Aug. 2, according to a calendar posting on the school’s web site.
