Chorus concert celebrates ‘Wonderful World’

The Sun City Women’s Chorus will present its spring concert, "It’s A Wonderful World," at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8 at the Sundial Recreation Center Auditorium, 14801 N. 103rd Ave.

Selections for the concert include "The Music of the Night," "Oh Shenandoah," "This Land is Your Land," "Girls Sing The Fifties," "What a Wonderful World," and more.

The chorus is under the direction of Jane Higgs, with Kent Trostel as accompanist. The 70-plus singers come from a variety of backgrounds who enjoy singing in a local women’s choir.

Rehearsals are every Thursday from 8:45 to 11 a.m. in the music room of the Fairway Recreation Center, 10600 W. Peoria Ave.

New singers with an RCSC card are welcome. Call Annette at 623-308-4643 for more information.

The Sun City Women’s Chorus, which was the first chartered music club in Sun City, has been making music for 56 years.
