Chipotle’s new concept ‘Chipotlane’ planned in Mesa

A Chipotle Mexican Grill with a drive-thru is to be developed in a building that previously housed an Arby’s and then a TitleMax west of Gilbert Road on the south side of Southern Avenue in Mesa.

The 1-acre development’s look and landscaping were discussed Feb. 13 by the Mesa Design Review Board. Vice Chair Dane Astle was absent.

The restaurant is to be in a 3,100-square-foot building that was approved about 40 years ago, Staff Planner Kwasi Abebrese said during the meeting.
