Chilly reception to proposed planned community in Florence

A proposal to rezone about 2,250 acres in Florence for a new potential master-planned community is getting some push back.

At its May 18 meeting, the Florence Town Council heard the first reading of an ordinance to rezone the land from rural agricultural to a planned unit development.
