Childhelp plans ‘trick or trot’ family fun run

Halloween event raises funds for local nonprofit

Posted

Scottsdale-based nonprofit organization, Childhelp, is hosting a family-friendly event this October to raise funds for abused and neglected children.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, the Childhelp AZ Wings Trick or Trot Family Fun Run will be at McCormick Ranch Golf Course, 7505 E. McCormick Parkway in Scottsdale.

All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged. Children will trick or treat along the course, and at the finish line we will have a DJ, games and lots of fun activities at the ‘Zombie Zone’, food truck refreshments and a raffle to celebrate everyone’s participation.

Participants will have an option to choose between a one mile or three mile run/walk.

The event is being chaired by Mari Corso and Amanda Tubesing.

Childhelp is hosting this event to bring awareness and fundraising to the amount of children who experience abuse or neglect in the United States.

Proceeds from the trick or trot fun run will benefit the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline and Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe.

Childhelp was founded in 1959, and is one of the largest and oldest national non-profit organizations dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect.

To register for the event or purchase a sponsorship, go to childhelp.org/events.
