Childhelp AZ Wings, a local family-focused volunteer group, announces its 3rd Annual Trick or Trot Family Fun Run, Oct. 22 at McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale.

The event is organized in support of Childhelp, a Scottsdale-based national nonprofit organization that supports survivors of child abuse and works to prevent child maltreatment nationwide, according to a press release.

The one- or three-mile run or walk boasts breathtaking views of Camelback and Mummy Mountain while participants raise funds for Childhelp programs like the Childhelp Children’s Center of Arizona, an award-winning child advocacy center in Phoenix that aids child survivors and non-offending family members during abuse investigations.

The Trick or Trot Family Fun Run is open to all ages, and participants are encouraged to dress in costume. Children have the opportunity to trick or treat along the course, and at the finish line everyone can enjoy a DJ, games, activities in the ‘Zombie Zone,’ food truck refreshments and a raffle. Check-in for the event is at 9 a.m., with the race beginning at 9:30 a.m.
