Holloman Jr., 82 SURPRISE - Chesley W. "Ches" Holloman Jr., 82, of Surprise, Ariz., passed away on Feb. 22, 2012, in Sun City West. He was born in Madisonville, Ky., on Feb. 8, 1930. Mr. Holloman was a retired executive with the United States Air Force. During his 32 years of service he held many acquisition positions including Director of Contracts for the F-16 Fighting Falcon Aircraft and the AC-130 Gunship at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio. He held an MBA as a graduate of Murray State University and Vanderbilt University. He was an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Chesley is survived by his beloved wife, Laura and three loving children, Steve and Kathy of Centerville, Ohio, and David (Shan) of Chicago, Ill.; and two loving grandchildren, Kacey and Evan. The visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, with the Funeral service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at New Song United Methodist Church, 16303 W. Bell Rd., Surprise. Interment was at Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ches' memory to Sun Cities 4 Paws or the AZ Humane Society.
