On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Chauncey Kirkwood Giles passed away at the age of 101. Chauncey was born on October 31, 1923, in Des Moines, Iowa to Chauncey and Eva Giles. He graduated from Valley High School in the class of 1941 and attended Iowa State University. On July 26, 1947, he married Helen Neideffer. They raised two children. Chauncey was co-owner of Fairlawn Dairy and later worked for Anderson Erickson Dairy. After retiring in 1986, Chauncey and his wife moved to Sun City West, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; son, James; brothers William, Charles, and Walter; and sister Margaret Schima. He is survived by his daughter, Jean, Davenport, IA and nieces and nephews. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church.
