(Koehler), 73 SUN CITY WEST - Charlotte (Char) Bishop (Koehler) died peacefully in Banner Hospice on June 11th, 2015 in Sun City West. Charlotte is survived by children, Christa Federico (California Polytechnic State University) of Peoria, Arizona, Robin Clark (National University) of Reedley, California, grandchildren Michael Clark Jr. and Cayla Clark, siblings, Carol Reynolds of San Pablo, California, Jean LaCorte of Sonora, California and Sun City West, Arizona, Robert Koehler of Murrieta, California and Gretchen Wright of Fayetteville, Georgia, former husband and cherished friend John Carl Federico (Coast Guard Academy) of Sun City West, Arizona. Charlotte was born on October 11th, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Sylvester John Koehler and Antonia Novosad. Charlotte attended high school and college in California. For more than twenty-five years Charlotte worked as a court reporter for various employers including the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Los Angeles Superior Court, San Diego Superior Court and Harris & Cleaves, Certified Shorthand Reporters, Inc. Charlotte was an accomplished artist and muralist. Charlotte's true passion was being a writer and shared her gift as a lecturer, newspaper columnist and radio story teller. Recently Charlotte self-published "Crumbs from the Edge" a collection of short stories and just prior to her passing she had completed a three-book fiction novel series. Her family plans to fulfill her wishes to have her books published. She was an adventurous, vibrant, witty and talented woman who loved the arts and who was passionate about sharing her writing gift with the world. During her lifetime Charlotte enjoyed skiing, travelling around the world, scuba diving, sailing, boating, and at the age of 50 years old solo backpacked the Aleutians and Alaska above the Arctic Circle. She loved dogs and was often accompanied by a four-legged friend, most recently Lulu and prior to that Bitzi. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 at Oceanside, California. For details and to RSVP, contact Christa, clf917@hotmail.com.
