Charles “Richard” Kalpousos

Richard was born in Allentown, New Jersey, January 29, 1947 and spent most of his years in Washington where one of his fondest memories is the family’s time spent during weekends and vacations at Birch Bay in a cabin built by his father.
At the time of his retirement from managing a camera store, Richard looked to Arizona for fun in the sun. In 2007, he moved to Sun City West, AZ where he joined the Sun City West Posse and he later moved to Sun City Grand in Surprise when he married his second wife, Sharon. Richard loved living in the West Valley with all it has to offer: great weather, Arizona Broadway Theater, Phoenix Theater, Sun City Grand activities, wonderful friends and neighbors and the opportunity to take his Golden Retriever for long walks and to stop to talk to everyone he met along the way.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sister Jeanne (Tom) Whitehurst and Sharon’s family and his two Golden Retrievers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy, and his parents, Louise and David Kalpousos. Richard passed on March 7, 2021, at Del Webb Hospital.
With his infectious smile and his positivity, he made everyone’s day brighter, and he will be missed.
