Charles Edward Nichols

Edward Nichols, 89 SUN CITY - Charles "Charlie" Edward Nichols, 89, passed away July 26, 2011. He was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Yonkers, N.Y., to Charles and Elsie (Sheppard) Nichols. Charlie was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, and football especially the Suns, Cardinals and University of Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife Sarah L. Nichols; children, Carol (Mike) Jacobs, Carl (Cheryl) Nichols and Donald Nichols; step children, Stephen and Kenneth White; grandchildren, Amy and Carrie Jacobs, Aaron and Jared Nichols; step grandson, Matthew White; great grandchildren, Kaleb and Ethan Nichols. A celebration of Charlie's life was held on Saturday, July 30th at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W Thunderbird Road, Peoria. In lieu of flowers remembrances in Charlies' name may be given to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
