SUN CITY WEST - Charles E. Hopkins, Jr., formerly of Salem, N.H., passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Mass. Charles was born in Lawrence, MA, to the late Mary (Slosek) and Charles E. Hopkins Sr. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Merrimack College, and served in the United States Navy. He was a successful sales manager and business owner until his retirement in Arizona, where he was member of the poker club and Briarwood Country Club. Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Rita (Gilbo) Hopkins; and his sons, Charles E. Hopkins III, of Marco Island, Fla.; John Hopkins and his wife, Jean, of Wakefield, Ma.; and Michael Hopkins and his wife, Vicky, of Salem, N.H.; and his daughters, Mary K. Hopkins Bower and her husband, Thomas, of Marco Island, Fla.; and Susan Hopkins of Naples, Fla..; and his grandchildren, Kelly and Steve, Kate, Meredith, John Charles, Madison, Natalie, and Luke. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, whose kindness and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
