A local organization transit group in the Sun Cities is hoping to get a funding boost from one of the most popular sports in the area.
Kathy Chandler, Northwest Valley Connect executive director, said the Sun City West Pickleball Club Fun In The Sun Tournament for Charity is like no other. Since 2014, the organization has partnered with other nonprofits in the areas of human services agencies. And this particular event, she said the Sun City West Foundation administrators helped to bring everyone together to raise money.
“None of the other communities we serve do anything like this where they all work together, so this is a big deal,” she explained.
