MCSO finds animals in ‘horrific conditions’ in West Valley, charges pending

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office detectives this week found animals, including livestock, living in “horrific conditions” in Buckeye, authorities said.

MCSO received reports Nov. 19 regarding possible animal abuse and neglect. Detectives with the MCSO Animal Crimes Unit found the animals, “some suffering from severe medical issues and others found dead or barely clinging to life,” according to a release.

Detectives and crimes unit medical staff worked to stabilize and treat the animals.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office detectives this week found animals, including livestock, living in “horrific conditions” in Buckeye, authorities said.

MCSO received reports Nov. 19 regarding possible animal abuse and neglect. Detectives with the MCSO Animal Crimes Unit found the animals, “some suffering from severe medical issues and others found dead or barely clinging to life,” according to a release.

Detectives and crimes unit medical staff worked to stabilize and treat the animals.

A warrant was obtained, and all animals were removed from the property.

Charges are pending the results of an investigation, according to MCSO.
