Monday’s work session was where the Chandler City Council could have directed staff to move forward with rate and fee hikes for a wide variety of services and facilities offered by its community services division.
It chose to not do that.
Community Services Director John Sefton and his staff had put together a rate and pricing history and pointed out how close it had tried to get to cost-of-service pricing in each category. He even had a sample of some of some services and new pricing and a recommended regular council meeting, Nov. 9, when a new pricing plan could be council-approved.
