Chandler vice mayor: Court case dismissed

Harris: Police-targeting complaint forwarded to AG

A Chandler elected official said a criminal court case involving him and his wife has been dismissed.

On Oct. 16, a Maricopa County Justice Court dismissed a case, without prejudice, submitted by prosecutors with the city of Scottsdale, against Chandler Vice Mayor O.D. Harris.

While the one-page dismissal doesn’t list specific charging counts or allegations, it lists a Justice Court case number and the case name “State of Arizona vs. OD Asa Harris.” Harris told the Chandler Independent the case involves sign-tampering allegations.
