Chandler Unified sports medicine student saves a life

Perry H.S. sophomore performed CPR at golf course

A Perry High School sophomore who saved a man’s life through CPR was honored at a January meeting of the Chandler Unified School District Governing Board.

Gabe Castro, who is part of the sports medicine program at a Perry and a member of the golf team, has training in CPR.

That training was out to use over the winter break while Castro was working at a Valley golf course. Castro performed CPR on a man who had a medical emergency while having a drink at a golf course bar, saving his life.
