Chandler to look at safety concerns on Hunt Highway

The city of Chandler is embarking on an endeavor to improve bicycle and pedestrian access on Hunt Highway.

The Chandler City Council July 14 approved an acrive transportation project agreement between the Maricopa Association of Governments and the city to develop a project assessment for enhanced bicycle and pedestrian facilities and potential traffic calming elements on Hunt Highway, from Cooper Road to Val Vista Drive.

The contract was for $70,000, according to city records.
