Chandler spending $4.7M for 10 ambulances

On the heels of an August work session where the steps of a major Chandler Fire Department transition were outlined, the Chandler City Council took its first official step in that direction Sept. 12.

That’s when council approved a nearly $4.7 million purchase of 10 ambulances from Professional Sales and Service LC.

The purchase, which was approved as part of the Sept. 12 regular meeting consent agenda, includes a $400,000 replacement of the aging ambulance Chandler Fire uses for training purposes and special events, plus an order for nine more.
