Chandler schools' turf intended to save water, improve durability

​There’s a new field at Basha High School’s Jim Wall Stadium.

The football facility is among five fields going into high schools in the Chandler Unified School District this year.

With the intent of saving both water and money, along with making fields more durable and available for more types of use, CUSD is investing about $14.7 million in the project.
