Chandler schools spent all federal COVID funds

“ESSER is gone.”

That’s what Chandler Unified School District’s chief financial officer, Lana Berry, said Oct. 9 as part of her annual financial report presentation to the CUSD Governing Board.

The presentation, made in a work session ahead of the board’s regular meeting, covered the gamut of district funding sources and expenditures in what ended up being a $606 million 2023-24 budget. The board approved the report, which included a segment on Arizona ESSER funding.
