Chandler Schools sets budget at $410M for next year

Decline of about 10% from 2023-24

The Chandler Unified School District’s budget will look a little different in 2024-25 that it has the past few years.

With inflation, teacher experience index changes, used-up one-time funds and decreasing enrollment, CUSD is proposing a $410 million budget for 2024-25 — about $45 million less than the initially approved 2023-24 budget.

The board approved a district budget a year ago that totaled about $455 million, which was down almost $11 million from the 2022-23 total. The board will hold a public hearing on the 2024-25 budget at its July 10 meeting.
