Chandler schools adds funding for suicide prevention

The Chandler Unified School District has put more and more dollars in place for mental health over the past two school years.

At its April 10 meeting, the board unanimously approved a $175,000 increase in the Fiscal 2024 budget for the Hope Institute, the district’s suicide prevention clinic.

The total amount to spend on services at the clinic this budget year — Fiscal 2024 — will now be $475,000.
