Chandler school district rolls out new suicide crisis clinic

A recent parent information night wasn’t well-attended, but many details about a new Chandler student support program were covered.

Derek Lee, CEO of the Hope Institute, held a parent information session at Arizona College Prep High School to explain the basics of how his northeastern rural Ohio counseling service will expand to cover the 43,000-plus students of the Chandler Unified School District.

Lee said the Hope Institute of CUSD, will be an intensive outpatient clinic program meant to aid students experiencing suicidal thoughts or ideation.
