Chandler school board OKs annual tax rates

Adjacent ways $4M will cover parking lots, fire lanes

Chandler Unified School District property owner’s tax rates will decrease this year — a little.

And some of the taxes they’ll pay this year are for at least one major projects that haven’t even been major topics in meetings.

By approving its annual property tax levy rates July 9, the CUSD Governing Board will reduce property tax rates slightly. This is due, largely, to the district having slightly less overall debt to pay off, as its proposed $487 million bond failed last November, with voters vetoing not only the list of projects on the bond list, but also the debt and tax burden that bond approval would have brought with it.
