Chandler school board members at odds over reserve policy

An awkward exchange took place between a pair of Chandler Unified School District Governing Board members its most recent meeting.

Board President Jason Olive attempted to apologoize to board member Kurt Rohrs for not getting an item on the agenda sooner. Rohrs did not appear to accept the apology.

Rohrs proposed a policy revision to how the district can spend its reserve money. He sent out an email to members of the media and others two days prior to the board’s June 14 meeting, saying Olive had “failed in his duty to put it on the meeting agenda” for public discussion and a vote.
