Chandler school board member, district at odds over consent agenda

A dispute over which types of items should be on the Chandler Unified School District’s Governing Board consent agenda appears unresolved.

During the only CUSD board meeting held in December, board member Kurt Rohrs told board President Jason Olive that his copy of the agenda showed an addendum to a contract for the redesign of Galveston Elementary School as a separate action item.

Olive told Rohrs that he “may have an older copy,” noting Rohrs and the rest of the board had just green-lighted a $427,000 increase to a contract with design firm Orcutt Winslow by unanimously approving the meeting’s consent agenda moments earlier.
