Chandler school board gets bond, override update

About $14.7M on hold, awaiting 2024 bond vote outcome

Even though the Chandler Unified School District Governing Board recently heard an annual financial report, it was time for another one at its Oct. 23 meeting.

CUSD’s chief financial officer, Lana Berry, provided the board a state-mandated annual bond and override update and took a few questions.

The district has spent all but $14.7 million of its $290 million from its 2019 bond. It also has used its 2021 override authority to where it likely will ask voters to re-authorize it in a November 2025 election.
