Chandler school board candidates weigh in on various topics

Chandler Unified School District Governing Board candidates answered most of the questions from the moderator at an Aug. 28 candidate forum hosted by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

While the five candidates got sidetracked or didn’t fully answer a few questions, they were mostly focused on responding directly to questions read by moderator Hank Stephenson of Arizona Agenda.

The forum and individual interviews with candidates are part of the Chamber’s endorsement process. With seats at stake in the Nov. 5 election, Chamber Director Terri Kimble said the public can expect to see three endorsements around the third week of September.
