Many factors determine how long barricades restrict access or lanes of traffic during a project, according to the city of Chandler’s public works director, but barricade companies not moving or relocating them fast enough is one of those factors.
At a May 23 work session, John Knudson talked about the many ways the duration of a project affects traffic, including getting barricades moved — mostly after the completion of a project.
“As things move, changes are required,” Knudson said. “It’s tough to stay on top of where barricades need to be and don’t need to be.”
