Chandler Police get video agreements with school district

An agreement the Chandler City Council approved at its most recent regular meeting is one that will allow for more video monitoring access of local schools during an emergency.

By approving all 30-plus items on its Sept. 12 consent agenda, council OK’d an intergovernmental agreement with the Mesa Unified School District.

The contract, which involves no money, grants the Chandler Police Department emergency access to the security camera systems at the four Mesa USD campuses that are within Chandler city limits.
