Chandler Police said officers discovered that bags of onions in the vehicle were used to conceal almost 400 pounds of methamphetamine inside the produce.

Chandler Police, working alongside Arizona DPS and Homeland Security Investigations, arrested a man named Claudio Hernandez Perez. Charges of transporting a dangerous drug for sale have been submitted to a prosecutor's office, police said.

"This drug bust is a good example of how interagency teamwork protects our communities," Chandler Police wrote in a news release.
