Chandler police dog dies

Bako, a dual-purpose dog with Chandler Police for more than 10 years, recently passed away, CPD announced.

A dog who served with Chandler Police Department officers for more than 10 years recently passed away.

The department, in a news release, announced Bako passed away Sept. 3.

Bako was a dual-purpose canine. Chandler Police said that means he was trained in both explosive ordnance detection and in patrols.
