A teenage girl who was part of a school walkout opposing ICE was arrested Friday afternoon after Chandler police said she threw a water bottle at a man who opposed the protest.
The walkout took place near Hamilton High School and during the march a “masked man armed with a handgun, arrived and had multiple interactions with student demonstrators,” according to a Chandler Police Department release.
Police said the man did not commit any crimes, “though his presence was creating a tense situation, and officers asked if he would voluntarily leave the scene.”
