Chandler Police reported that two teens were arrested after a shooting the evening of Nov. 7.

At about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7, according to a news release, Chandler police responded to reports of a shooting in a residential area south of Queen Creek Road and east of Cooper Road, near Chandler Municipal Airport.

A caller told officers he saw two people trying to break into a car and honked his horn to scare them off, police stated. He then followed the suspects briefly before one of them fired several shots at his vehicle, hitting it multiple times.

Officers later located two teens matching the suspects’ descriptions, they stated.

Both teens were arrested, questioned, and one was booked into the Durango Juvenile Detention Center.

The suspect is facing charges that include attempted burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police didn’t release the names or ages of the teens. More information will be added to this story as it’s released.
