Chandler planning commission approves embattled ‘city gateway’ site

One of Chandler’s longest-discussed pieces of centrally located land could soon have the city council zoning approval it needs.

The Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission recommended, during its Sept. 18 meeting, a rezoning and development plan approval for The District Downtown, though not unanimously.

Council should vote on whether to approve the plan and rezoning during its Oct. 17 meeting.
