Chandler police have arrested Sydney Taylor McKinley on charges involving an ongoing dog abuse investigation that began in early September, authorities said.
Investigators submitted 77 misdemeanor charges to the Chandler City prosecutor for review, and a warrant was issued for the 48-year-old woman’s arrest, which took place Nov. 14.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office website identified the suspect as Sydney Taylor McKinley. She also has been identified as April McLaughlin.
Police said she was arrested without incident and later booked on the latest counts that involve animal cruelty, cruel neglect or abandonment.
Other animal cruelty charges are pending review by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, police said.
