Chandler not on same page re: crime lab as its neighbor

Are city of Chandler leaders on the same page as neighboring Gilbert on how far discussions of a joint police crime lab construction project have gone?

Not exactly, according to what was said in a pair of meetings held this month.

Chandler’s budget director, Matt Dunbar, speaking during a March 21 work session on the city’s capital improvement project budget, said there’s a $59 million item in the proposed Fiscal 2026 budget for a new “police forensic sciences facility.”
